Shannon was born in Marshalltown and attended Woodbury School through 3rd grade. In 1992, Shannon and his family moved to Gilman where he graduated from East Marshall High School in 2000. He received his AA degree from Marshalltown Community College in 2006 and is currently attending DMACC's Mortuary Science Program.
