Alacia Beasley, 75, of the Villa del Sol, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center.Following cremation, a memorial celebration of her life will take place at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 23, 2011. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed in her name to her family. Alacia was born February 20, 1936, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of James F. and LeEtta (Wiford) Oulman. She was raised in the Grundy County, Iowa, area and graduated from the Morrison Country School System. Alicia was married to LuVerne Ross in November of 1954 and they later divorced. She was later married to Burton Beasley in 1970 and again in November of 1981. Alicia was an interior decorator during most of her working career. She moved to Florida in 1993and returned home to the Marshalltown and Laurel areas seven years ago and worked for McGregors Furniture for a brief time. She loved reading books, watching movies, shopping, making crafts and socializing with her friends. Alicia dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with them. Above all Alacia was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family and will be greatly missed.Alacia is survived by her children: Tonya (Mark) Dixon of Laurel and Todd (Lori) Ross of Minburn, Iowa, her siblings: Gary (Gay) Oulman of Florida, Jim John (Sandy) Oulman of Florida, Sandy Gutosky of Grundy Center and Eugene Oulman of Grundy Center, her four grandchildren: Sam & Peyton, Dixon, Jessica (David) Cole, and Benjamin Ross. Alacia was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son Terry and her brother-in-law.
