Barbara Settle

Barbara Jean Settle, 87, of Marshalltown, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown. Private family services for Barbara will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice Home. Barbara Hubler was born on March 23, 1929 in Marshalltown to Henry and Hattie Hayes Hubler. After high school, Barbara was united in marriage to Elvin Kutzner, they later divorced. She later moved to California where she met Malcolm Settle and they married, he later passed away. Barbara then met Russell Weber and they enjoyed traveling together to Las Vegas and to Georgia. Barbara later moved back to Marshalltown so she could be closer to her family. She enjoyed going to the casino, knitting and crocheting. Barbara is survived by her children: Gary (Pamela) Kutzner of Marshalltown and Jerry (Cynthia) Kutzner of Marshalltown. Grandchildren: Kim (James) Huseboe of Rhodes, Angela (Mike) Trachta of Johnston, Jamie (Alicia) Kutzner of Waverly and Julie (Charles) Hill of Johnston. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and her nephew Jeff (Cedra) Hubler of Charleston, South Carolina. Barbara is preceded in death by husbands Elvin and Malcolm as well as significant other, Russell, her parents Henry and Hattie and 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
