Cheryl Lynn Taft, 66, of Beaman, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at her home, surrounded by family, and under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home.   Visitation and fellowship for Cheryl will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Cheryl and her family.   Cheryl Savage was born on March 3, 1952 in Marshalltown to James and Phyllis Savage. After high school, Cheryl went on to receive her Associates Degree from Marshalltown Community College. On December 30, 1982, Cheryl was united in marriage to Kenneth (K.C. )Taft Jr. in Marshalltown and they resided together in Beaman. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of American Legion. Cheryl truly enjoyed her family as well as having an interest in crafts, crocheting and sewing. She was also a collector of giraffes, snowmen and a fan of John Wayne.   Cheryl shared her life with her husband of almost 36 years, K.C. (Kenneth) and their children; Michele “Mickey” (Brad) Beeler of Pierre, South Dakota, AinaJuanita “AJ” (Jeff) Conaway of Clemons, AsherDee “Dee” (Jerry) Bosely, Kenneth “Kenny” Taft III of Middle Amana and Keri (Scott Hafner) Taft of State Center. She loved spending time with her grandchildren: Koty, Jeffy, Ivan “Scooby” and AndeeJean Conaway; KlowieAnn Smith; Nate Bosely; Makena Franksain and Lily Hafner as well as her siblings: Theresa Randall of Marshalltown, Jerry (Natalie) Savage of Des Moines and Bryan Savage of Des Moines; and many, many friends. For Cheryl, family always came first but there was never an end to who was part of her "family."   Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, James and Phyllis and siblings: Danny Savage and Julie Swartz.
