Danny Fields

Danny Allen Fields, Sr., 48, of the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Lake County, California, died early Tuesday morning, April 17th, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 26th, 2007, at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery. There will be no visitation. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Born on May 15th, 1958, in San Rafael, California, he was the son of Richard Sonny and Diane (McDaniel) Fields, and was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served our country proudly at Camp Pendleton, CA. Most of his adult life was spent in Lake County, CA where he was employed as heavy equipment operator for Home Stake Mining Company. In 2000, Danny relocated to Iowa where he lived until his death on April 17th. Left to mourn his loss is his son, Danny Allen Fields, Jr. of Lakeport, California and his brother Guy Fields of Waterloo. In death he has rejoined his parents.
