Dolores Louise Buschbom

Dolores Louise Buschbom, 90, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2015, at the Iowa River Hospice Home with her loving family by her side. Memorial services for Dolores will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held beginning one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed in Doloress name to her family for designation at a later date. Dolores McMahon was born on March 15, 1924, in Laurel, Iowa, the daughter of Charles D. and Paulene A. McMahon. She was raised and educated in the Laurel School District, graduating in 1942. Dolores was united in marriage to Harold H. Buschbom. From this union three children were born: Debra, Robert, and Linda. Dolores retired from Fisher Controls and was an active member of the UAW. Family was always Dolores top priority. Whether traveling to countless horse shows or following her son to a motocross track, she was always there to cheer them on. She enjoyed sports of all kinds (especially the Iowa Hawkeyes), animals (with horses being among her favorites), but she also had a special place in her heart for her dogs and cats. But above all, her greatest passion was her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Debra K. (Tom) Smith of Austin, TX; Robert C. Buschbom of Los Angeles, CA; and Linda L. (Jim) Bell of Marshalltown, IA. Two grandchildren: Joshua J. Buschbom and Justine B. (Justin) Peebles; two great-grandchildren: Madison K. Peebles and Mia G. Peebles; her cat, Rascal P. Kitty; and many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold; parents, Charles and Paulene; granddaughter, Carrie; brothers: Richard, Daniel, Kenneth, Keith, Dale; sisters, Mildred and Lois; and many nieces and nephews.
