Dominga Perez Gutierrez

Dominga Pérez Gutiérrez, age 46 of Tama and formerly of Guatemala, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Visitation will be held from 5:00- 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with a vigil at 7:00 P.M. Dominga will be laid to rest in Guatemala.

Dominga was born on August 2, 1977, in Joyabaj, Quiche, Guatemala, the daughter of Juan Pérez Rallos and Maria Gutiérrez Pablo. Dominga moved to Tama, IA with her children 9 years ago. She was so proud of her family and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed going to the park, cooking and watching TV.

Dominga was preceded in death by her mother, Maria, spouse, Pedro Saban Lares. She is survived by her children, Maria Pérez, Juan Marcos Pérez, Alex Sabán Pérez, Bella Sabán Pérez, Kasey Angie Sabán Pérez; six grandchildren and her 5 siblings.

Dominga nació el 2 de agosto de 1977 en Joyabaj, Quiché, Guatemala, hija de Juan Pérez Rallos y María Gutiérrez Pablo.

Dominga se mudó a Tama, Iowa con sus hijos hace nueve años. Ella estaba muy orgullosa de su familia y le encantaba pasar tiempo con ellos. Le gustaba ir al parque, cocinar y ver la televisión.

A Dominga le precedió en la muerte su madre, María; su cónyuge, Pedro Saban Lares. Le sobreviven sus hijos, María Pérez, Juan Marcos Pérez, Alex Sabán Pérez, Bella Sabán Pérez, Kasey Angie Sabán Pérez; seis nietos y sus cinco hermanos.
