E. Mary Cline, 93, of Marshalltown, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at Southridge Nursing and Rehab Center while under the loving care of the Southridge staff and Iowa River Hospice.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at St. Marys Catholic Church. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service on Monday at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Phone 641-844-1234. Edwina Mary Vanderah was born on March 6, 1917, in Haverhill, Iowa. She was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Lutmer) Vanderah. Mary graduated from St. Marys High School in 1934 and later attended business college in Marshalltown. On December 12, 1949, Mary married Jim Cline. The couple lived in rural Marshalltown all of their married lives.Mary worked for the telephone company, Reed Insurance, and Fisher for 11 years. After marriage, she was a homemaker. Mary and Jim owned Model Hatchery and Model Western Wear.Mary was a member of St. Marys Church. She enjoyed playing cards, going to lunch with her friends, and attending her daughters and grandchildrens activities.Left to mourn her loss is her daughter Mary Ann (John) Boriskey of Marshalltown; her grandchildren Joni (Dan) Schrad of Johnston, IA, Kari (Mike) Kerber of Legrand, and Neil (Nicole Blake) Boriskey of Tama; and her great-grandchildren Alison, Logan, Garrett, Makayla, Madyson, Keinzle, and Gabe.In death she rejoins her parents, her husband Jim, and a sister who died in infancy, Irene Vanderah.
