She was born May 12, 1933 at Garwin, Iowa to the late Micah and Edna Hall. She graduated from Garwin Public School in 1951, William Penn University, Oskaloosa, Iowa and got her Masters Degree from East Texas State University at Commerce, Texas. She taught school at Beaman, Iowa, Green Mountain, Iowa, Marshalltown, Iowa and Greenville, Texas. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Bible school for many years. She lived in Iowa for 50 years, 11 years in Texas, 26 years in Arkansas and 4 years in Colorado. Frances was employed at Tyson and the bright Harvest Sweet Potato Plant. She enjoyed working until she was 75 years old. Frances was married to James Yantis for 50 years; who preceded her in death in 2008. She attended the Church of the Nazarene and the First Baptist Church at Clarksville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Warren L. Hall and son, Bradley Dean Yantis. Survivors include one sister, Genevieve Fay, one daughter, Bev (Randy) Garmon of Westminster, CO and daughter-in-law Edianna Yantis of Olathe, KS. She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Marshalltown Church of the Nazarene at 1015 South Center Street, Marshalltown, Iowa with Reverend Rick Garmon officiating on Friday, February 5 at 1:30 p.m. Mitchell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Frances and her family.
