Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Ivey Mary Louise Pruitt on February 10, 1943, at Glasgow, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Ivan and Florence (Belk) Pruitt. She received her education in the area of her birth. One day, she met this handsome young military man who was stationed atFt. Campbellby the name of Dale DeFrance. The two were united in marriage by her father, the Rev. Ivan Pruitt, on January 16, 1958. Dale always said he kidnapped her, but they were rewarded with nearly 54 years of marriage together. Ivey treasured her family and was so proud of her sons (#99D) and grandchildrens racing and granddaughters nursing career. She enjoyed going to the casino, watching Dancing with the Stars andDirt Knights (those who knew her didnt call during those shows!) and going with her dear friends on Thursday night for their girls night out. She was a member of the local T.O.P.S. (serving as past-president) and had been employed at the Pennysaver and Times-Republican many years. Left to cherish her memory are Dale, her loving husband of 53 years, daughter Judy (Rick) Gustin of Marshalltown, son Darrel (Tanya) DeFrance of Marshalltown, grandchildren: Jimmy (Monica) Gustin, Richie (Holly) Gustin, Brittany DeFrance, Ryan Gustin, Jenae Gustin, Laura Mathern, Sarah Mathern, Willie Mathern, great-granddaughter Hanna Gustin, brother Earl (Susie) Pruitt of Versailles, Kentucky and family members found and bound by love- Mike and Shelly OLear. Those who have gone on and greeted her again in heaven are her parents, daughter Linda Louise who died in infancy, and her siblings: Shirley, Alma, Margaret and Dwight.
