Jim Kleinhans, 66, of Marshalltown, passed away on Friday, October, 18, 2013, at Mary Greeley Medical and Surgical Center in Ames, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 3:30p.m.on Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1:30p.m.until service time at 3:30p.m.at the funeral home in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the Family. James Edward Kleinhans was born on January 2, 1947, in Cedar Falls, Iowa; he was the son of John L.Ed and Geraldine (Lechner) Kleinhans. James attended school in the Cedar Falls School District. Jim loved life and enjoyed cars and car races, NASCAR, Dirt Track and fishing. He was a dad that always was there to love his children, thru good and bad times but his life revolved around the love and admiration for all his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his children: C.J. Lappe of Waterloo, Iowa, Shane(Kim) Kleinhans of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Joshua (Ashley) Kleinhans of Marshalltown, Iowa, Shelby(Heather) Kleinhans of Garwin , Iowa, and sister, Betty(Neil) Hendberg of Cedar Falls, Iowa, special friend, Carol Deahl of Marshalltown, Iowa, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. In death James rejoins his parents, John and Geraldine Kleinhans
