She received her education in the area of her birth and graduated from the New Providence High School and furthered her education at AIB in Des Moines. On June 10, 1967, Jane was united in marriage to the love of her life, Vernon Stalzer, in Eldora. They made their home in Marshalltown where they were blessed with two children, Brad and Lori. Jane was employed for 22 years at Fisher Controls. This past year, they moved to Ankeny. Jane and Vern treasured their family (especially her grandchildren) and their time in Texas. Jane was passionate about the bell choir, cake decorating, playing dominoes, and dancing. She was very involved in community activities no matter where they might be, in both Iowa and Texas. Jane will be fondly remembered by Vernon, her loving husband of 47 years; son, Brad (Melinda) Stalzer; and daughter, Lori (Weston) Waterbeck; her precious grandchildren: Savannah, Logan and Ethan Stalzer, and Trenton and Kailey Waterbeck; her siblings: Betty (Jeff) Jegenyes, Rose Mary Hicks, Frank (Joyce) Lawler, Karen Riskedahl, Darlene Lawler (Bill Lewis) and Clyde Lawler; many nieces and nephews; the Stalzer family; and her Texas family and friends. In death, Jane rejoined her father, and was soon joined by her mother.
