Janice Brockman Horn 71, of Moulton, Iowa formerly of State Center passed away on Thursday morning September 5, 2013 at Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in State Center, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Memorial may be directed to St Paul Lutheran Church Library, Moulton EMS Corp, Moulton Methodist Church, or Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Phone 641-844-1234. Janice Marguerite Hilleman was born on November 10, 1941, in State Center, Iowa; she was the daughter of Harold and Marguerite (Pfantz) Hilleman. Janice attended school in the State Center Community School District graduating with the class of 1961. She then attended 1 year of college at Wartburg. On May 6, 1962, Janice was united in marriage to Paul Brockman at St. Paul Lutheran Church in State Center, Iowa they were blessed with 2 children, Denise and Chris. Paul passed away in 1991. On March 11, 1995 Janice married Lewis Gene Horn and they resided in Moulton, Iowa. She worked at Brenton Bank in Marshalltown, Iowa and Farmers Bank in Centerville , Iowa. Janice love to play Solitaire and was known as the Solitaire Aficionado she enjoyed camping and the winters in Texas. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 18 years Lewis Gene of Moulton, Iowa, children; Denise Brockman (Don Mildon) of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Chris(Jill) Brockman of Marshalltown, Iowa , Step-children: Dan (Chris) Horn of Verdon, Nebraska, Carol Horn of Paducah, Kentucky, Fran Horn of Peducah, Kentucky and Kimberly Horn of Moulton, Iowa, grandchildren, Brittney, Kelsey and Bailey Brockman and Step-grandchildren: Matthew, Andy and Rachel Horn. Siblings : Howard( JeNell) Hilleman of State Center, Iowa, Joan (Richard) Rust of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Alan (Karen) Hilleman, of Marshalltown, Iowa and Jean (Lyle) Oswood of Brooklyn, Iowa. In death Janice rejoins her parents, first husband Paul, and siblings, Dale, Merle and Wayne.
