Justin Dean Klaas, 52, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Iowa River Hospice Home. Memorial services for Justin will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Justin and his family. Justin Klaas was born on January 11, 1963, to Virgil and Debra (Pickering) Klaas. Justin was blessed to have three children with his former wife Deborah Klaas: BreAnn Bre, Chelsea, and Cody. Justin had previously worked for Cooper Manufacturing and was most recently working on starting his own handyman business. Justin was a jack of all trades such as heating and cooling, carpentry, plumbing, computer work, and even a drummer in his dads band: Country Fever Band just to name a few. Justin enjoyed to fish, mushroom hunt, play horseshoes---he enjoyed everything equine - and was a great pool player. Justin will be remembered for being a loyal man, and for his love for shootin the sh*t. Justin is survived by his children: BreAnn Bre Klaas (Jay Harkless) of Nevada, Chelsea (Cody McKeag) Klaas of Marshalltown and Cody Klaas of Marshalltown. Parents: Virgil (Linda) Klaas and Debra (Earl) Osman. Grandchildren: DeAnnaLynn (7), Jude (4) and Alleyna (2). Siblings: Mychelle (Kent) Dickenson of Beaman, Kevin Klaas of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Kerry (Patty) Klaas of Marshalltown, Shari Harding (Steve Hay) of Marshalltown, and Jarett (Tara) Klaas of Marshalltown. Step siblings: Kristy Gray of Des Moines, Craig (Amy) Osman of St Paul, Minnesota, and Chris Osman of Des Moines, and former wife Deborah Klaas, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family. Justin is preceded in death by his granddaughter Liberty Klaas, grandparents Joseph & Colletta Klaas, Don and Norma Preston, a step brother Jason Spurlin, as well as various family and friends.
