Kyle Brown

June 28, 1965 — April 29, 2020

Kyle Wesley Brown passed away on April 29, 2020 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines due to COVID-19.   Kyle was born in Marshalltown, IA on June 28, 1965, the son of Dennis and Barbara Jo Brown. Kyle graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1983 and then served in the military from 1984-1992.   Kyle suffered from addiction for most of his adult life. In 2012, Kyle was released from prison. A quote from Kyle celebrating an anniversary of sobriety and his new life with God, “While in prison I asked God to do for me what I could not. To reveal himself to me. To take my will and my life and guide me. To take the chains that had bound me for many years. He did! He continues to work in my life everyday, as long as I let him. Life is amazing today!”   In 2012, Kyle was hired at TPI Composites in Newton, IA. During his career he won several awards for perfect attendance at work that he was proud of, as well as traveled to Washington DC in 2017 to represent the wind industry for TPI with three other associates from the company.   Kyle met Pamela Dennen in 2012 and later married on February 7, 2017. He truly was living his dream. Married to the love of his life, restored his relationships with his children, a caregiver to his father, employed and sober. To some his life may have sounded average, but to him he had won life’s jackpot and he expressed that to everyone he knew.   Kyle is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Jo Brown, grandparents Ronnie and Berniece Brown and Paul and Hazel Mahnke and his cousin Angela-Moon Lins-Eich.   He is survived by his wife Pamela Dennen, his children Derek Brown, Chrissa Brown and Stefanie Brown, his stepchildren Jordan Dennen, Jeremiah Dennen, Samuel Dennen, and Libby Dennen, his father Dennis Brown, his brother Kip (Pam) Brown, nephew Theil Brown, John and Ginger Eich and several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.    A private service for only family will be on Friday, May 15th at 10:30 AM and will be streamed online on the Mitchell Family Funeral Home Facebook page for friends and family. Family attending the service are asked to please wear masks.   Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting Kyle’s obituary at www.mitchellfh.com .
