Lisa Marie Doty

Lisa Doty, daughter of Lynda J. Guy and Danny D. Doty Sr., passed away at her home in Campbell, Ohio, on November 29, 2024. Lisa was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1995 and later moved to Iowa with her family. She has three sisters, April Guy-Sarr (Nick Sarr), Sarah Doty (Barry Niederklopfer), and Jennifer Doty, as well as one older brother Danny Doty Jr. (Christin Burbey).

Lisa attended West Marshall High School in State Center where she was a friend to so many. She met her boyfriend Orville Ortiz Morales in 2016 when they were both working at Quality Products in Eldora, Iowa and they welcomed a child, and Lisa’s entire world, in 2018, Jordan Enil Ortiz Doty. Lisa and her family moved back to Ohio in 2021 to be close to Orville’s dad, Jordan’s grandfather.

Anyone lucky enough to have met Lisa could never forget her infectious personality, always the life of the party and never afraid to speak her mind. She loved drawing, journaling, listening to music, dancing, singing, riding her motor bike, horses and spending time with her son. Lisa had a huge heart and she would help anyone that needed it with no questions asked. Her laugh was contagious. She will be missed by many.

Lisa is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sarah and Don Porter as well as her paternal grandparents, Donna Peshel and Maynard Doty. She is survived by her four siblings, both of her parents, two nieces, Julia and Page Williams, her boyfriend, her six-year-old son Jordan, her aunt and uncle Cindy and Ken Smoldt and cousins, Josh and Colton Smoldt.

A celebration of life for Lisa will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown.
