Ehrhardt, 87, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life Wednesday morning, January 6, 2021, at Unity Point Health Marshalltown. To honor her wishes, cremation rights will be given and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8th at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Mary Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Entombment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to her family for a later designation. Marjorie Louise was born on May 17, 1933 in Bakersfield, CA and grew up and graduated high school in Kernville, CA. On June 10, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Ehrhardt at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Bakersfield, CA. In her early years, Marjorie was employed as an occupational therapist at Mercy Hospital in Marshalltown. She also helped with her husband, Bob’s business, Marshall Implement. She later owned and operated her own business called Unique Bridal. Most recently she had been employed at a local bank as a teller. Marjorie was a member of St. Mary Church and had played violin there. Her love of music led her to be instrumental in starting the Marshalltown Community Orchestra. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. Left to cherish her memory are her six children: Kathy (Jim) Meyer, Myrna (Rick) Ulery, Corleen (Chris) Calkins, Karl (Deb) Ehrhardt, Ginger Carroll and Skip (Mette) Ehrhardt; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her sister, Donna Holland and a sister-in-law, Marian Thomas. In eternal life, Marjorie has been reunited with her parents; her husband, Bob; and her sister, Susan Hartman.
