Marjorie Leeper, 88, of Marshalltown, formerly of LaMoille, died Wednesday evening, August 19th, at the Grandview Heights where she has resided since May of 2014, and in care of the Iowa River Hospice. A memorial visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 24th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. She will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Lamoni, Iowa, at a later date. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. (641)-844-1234. Born Marjorie Foster on August 22nd, 1926, in Lamar, Colorado, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Mabel Marjorie (Mote) Foster. She received her education in Lamoni, Iowa. On August 9th, 1943, she was united in marriage to Harley Leeper in Bethany, MO. They made their home in LaMoille beginning in 1958. Marjorie was employed at MACH West (formerly St. Thomas Hospital) on 13th and State Streets, the Marshall County Care Facility, Marshalltown Greenhouses, Wal-Mart as well as being a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Marjorie enjoyed going to auctions and flea markets and fishing trips with Harley. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karyol Haye of Marshalltown, son Dave (Doris) Leeper of Kellerton, Iowa, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Jacqueline McNealy of Des Moines, Iowa and many other family members. In death, Marjorie rejoined her parents, her husband Harley, son-in-law Terry Haye, her son James and a granddaughter.
