Marsha Ann Eppert, 73, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Mill Pond in Ankeny.


Memorial services for Marsha will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Marsha Eppert was born on September 14, 1950 in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Bill L. and Patricia A. (Terry) Eppert. Marsha graduated from Grand Island High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s in Education at the University of Nebraska and earned her Master’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Marsha was retired from Marshalltown High School as a special education teacher. During her teaching career Marsha taught at all levels. She even taught at a preschool during the day and a university in the evenings while living in Kearney Nebraska. She always seemed to find students that needed her love and attention the most. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and Alpha Delta Kappa, which is an organization for women educators. Marsha was also a member of the St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marshalltown. She enjoyed her pets, friends, reading, gardening and art. Her creative side was amazing, and she created beautiful things.


Marsha is survived by her children: Tysen (Maria) Landmesser of Ankeny and Aaron (Erin Luense) Landmesser of Huxley. Grandchildren: Grace Landmesser, Tobias Landmesser, Claire Landmesser and Addison Landmesser. She is also survived by her sister-in-law: Kari Eppert of Ashby, Nebraska, nephew Trevor (Jill) Eppert of Ashby, Nebraska and their children Troy and Zane, niece Kirby Eppert of Seneca, Nebraska, and cousin: Kelly Terry-Tystad of Granite Canon, Wyoming.


Marsha is preceded in death by her parents: Bill and Patricia and brother: Troy Eppert.
