Mike Thomas, 49, of Des Moines, died early Monday morning January 2, at the home of his niece in Conrad.Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Ph. 641-844-1234.Born Michael Wayne Thomas on February 18, 1962, he was the son of Paul and Lorraine (Hacker) Thomas. He received his education in the Albion schools. When you didnt see Mike, you knew where to find him- fishing. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his friends. He was employed in the construction business for many years, beginning in childhood with his father. He was married to Tammy (Matney).Surviving are his sister Kathy Sehgal of Des Moines, brothers James of LeGrand, Steve of Newton and Travis of Hubbard, several nieces, nephews aunts, uncles cousins and friends.In death he rejoined his parents, former wife Tammy and brother Danny.
