Mona Beth Dudley

Mona Beth Dudley, "Beth" age 88 passed away May 3rd, 2024, at Premier Estates of Toledo Nursing home in Toledo, Iowa.

A private graveside service, led by the family will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date, in Merkel, Texas. Mona and her family are under the care of Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Beth was born in Merkel, Texas to Wilbur Bernard and Grace Leverne (Bean) Thomas on February 20, 1936. Beth attended Merkel High School in Merkel, Texas and married her high school sweetheart, Lemuel Dale Dudley and from this union, three children were born. Beth was a stay-at-home mom until the children were in school. Her first adventure outside the home was with the Iowa State Extension Service. The majority of her career was with Dwight's Clothing Store for Men and Boys in Toledo, Iowa. Beth loved helping to "dress the men of Tama County". She truly had an eye for style! After the store closed, Beth worked at Doyle's Family Pharmacy, also in Toledo. Beth also loved working in her flower gardens.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dana (Kim) Ingerslev of The Villages, Florida, Scott (Mara) Dudley of Llano, Texas and daughter-in-law, Krislynn Dudley of Oxford, Ohio; grandchildren, Taya (Tyler) Roos, Kiley (Brandon) Boesenberg all of Lisbon, Iowa. Sarah (Jim) Dorsen, of Hinesville, Georgia, Nathan (Colleen) Dudley of Llano, Texas; Nichole (Kevin) Carr of Oxford, Ohio, Alice (Halden) Schwallie of Mentor, Ohio. Great grandchildren, Paige, Alexa and Quinn Roos, Caiden and Eli Boesenberg, Madelyn Dorsen, Beckett Dudley, Hadley and Iam Carr, Greyson and Reid Schwallie. Sister-in-law Pat Dudley, cousins and many friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Lemuel Dale Dudley, and son David Thomas Dudley.
