Patricia Agnes Metge, 79, of Altoona, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Iowa Methodist Medical and Surgical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Patricia Agnes Metge was born at home in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of H.R. (Bob) and Gladyce (Neiderhauser) Switzer. She attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the class of 1953, and then went on to graduate from Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Patricia was united in marriage to the love her life on September 1, 1956, at the United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. They resided in West Des Moines for more than 30 years, and most recently in Marshalltown Iowa. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother, always looking after others. She was a member of her bridge club and St Marks Lutheran Church. She bled BLACK and GOLD for her HAWKEYES and remained a fan of the Marshalltown Bobcats. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 58 years, Robert, Children: Jeff (Cindy) Metge of Altoona, Iowa, Kelli (Scott) Meyer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Jill (Jim) Weiskircher of Phoenix, Arizona. Grandchildren: Alison Meyer, Derek Meyer, Rachael Metge, QuinnWeiskircher, Cassie Weiskircher and Nick Metge and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and lifelong Sister Jackie Johnson. In death Patricia rejoins her parents, H.R (Bob) and Gladyce and two brothers, Don Switzer and Tom Switzer In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, P.O.
