Richard Pille

Richard Pille of Overland Park, KS died peacefully at the Olathe Hospice House on October 20, 2019.  Survivors include daughters: Diane Dillane of Overland Park, KS, Deb (Glenn) Plummer of Rancho Santa Fe, CA, Denise (Howard) Schwartz of Solana Beach, CA, Dawn (Brook) Rosenberg of Des Moines, IA; son, David (Nancy) Pille of Marshalltown, IA; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, Bernard & Emma (Kopel) Pille; brother, Delmar Pille; sister, Esther Haynes and former wife, Helen Pille. He was a vice president at Commercial State Bank for many years and a realtor in Marshalltown. He enjoyed and excelled at golfing, bowling and softball. His nickname was “Red" due to his hair color. He was a self-taught carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. Interment will be in Marshalltown, Iowa at a later date. Amos Funeral Home in Overland Park, KS is caring for Mr. Pille and his family.
