Robert Smuck

Robert "Bobb" Smuck (66), of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on September 2nd, 2015, at Iowa River Hospice Home. No services will be held at this time. The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Bobb and his family. Robert Dennis Smuck was born on June 1, 1949, to Paul Smuck and Dorothy Randall in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was raised in the surrounding area and graduated from the Le Grand-Dunbar-Ferguson Community School District. Bobb served his country in the United States Army from May, 1969 until May, 1975. Robert was an employee of the Des Moines Register, Walmart, and HyVee until his retirement 6 years ago. He was also a member of St. Henrys Catholic Church in Marshalltown. Bobb enjoyed fishing with his brother, garage sales, reading, playing cards, food and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters; Betty Ruse and Louise (Bill) Jesina, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his cat, Ms. Bea. In death, Robert rejoins his parents; Paul and Dorothy Smuck, brother; Kenny Smuck, sisters; Kathy Meyer and Beth Smuck, brother-in-laws; Gary Ruse and Bill Meyer and nephew, Rick Meyer.
