Ronnie Reisinger

August 29, 1954 — September 20, 2024

Ronnie L. Reisinger, 70, of Garwin, Iowa, passed away on the afternoon of Friday, September 20, 2024 at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls.


Funeral Services for Ronnie will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. For additional information or to send a condolence to the family please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call 641-844-1234. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronnie’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation.


Ronnie Lee Reisinger was born August 29, 1954 in Marshalltown, Iowa. He was the youngest of three children born to Ellsworth and Neva (DeFrance) Reisinger. Ronnie grew up in Garwin, Iowa. He received his first job at Lorensen and Beale at age 13. He had attended Garwin Community School graduating in the class of 1973. Following his graduation, Ronnie attended trade school for automotive work.


After a number of years working for Lorensen and Beale, he started his own trucking company, Reisinger Trucking. He was in love with what he did and loved to interact with the farmers that he hauled crops for. In his free time, he adored spending time with his family and with his friends. He was the family genealogist and loved to tell his family their background and who they were all related to. He was known to collect a few vehicles no matter the condition and had a soft spot in his heart for some sort of furry companion most often a dog. His proudest moment was the purchasing of his grandfather’s 150 year old acreage.


He is survived by his daughter, Veronica Carlisle; his granddaughter, Charlize Carlisle; sister, Sandy (Robert) Wyllie; brother-in-law, Ambrose Kearney; nieces and nephews, Lorie (Rick) Raymond, Connie (Barry) Donovan, Todd Kearney, Nicole Smaha, and Tonya (Jason) Castor; alongside numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great nephews a great-great niece and cousins. And last but not least his four-legged furry companion, Big Boy.


He was preceded in death by his son, Shane Reisinger; his parents, Ellsworth and Neva Reisinger; sister, Karen Kearney; nephew, Terry Kearney; great-nephew Trent Rohach and great-great-niece, Leti Raymond.
