Sarah Kunch

Sarah Kunch, 61, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Iowa River Hospice Home.

Born Sarah Faircloth on October 5, 1962 in Marshalltown, Iowa, she was the daughter of Russell Sr. and Peggy (Gallentine) Faircloth. She attended Gladbrook Elementary School and Marshalltown High School. Sarah was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Kunch, on September 26, 1980 in Bethany, Missouri. The couple made their home in Marshalltown, where they raised their daughter. Sarah worked at the Times-Republican and Glenwood Place. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. She always enjoyed taking the time to slow down and drink her morning cup of coffee on the deck or play with her beloved dogs. More than anything, Sarah loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 43 years, Dale; her daughter, Stephanie Kunch; grandchildren Tyler Kunch and Hope Kunch; her brother, Dan Faircloth, all of Marshalltown, IA and her Glenwood family.

Sarah is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Russell Jr., as well as several loving pets.
