Shelly Ann Croskey Brownfield, 46, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Unity Point Healthcare in Marshalltown, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Shelly and her family.Shelly Ann Croskey was born on November 6, 1971, in the Marshalltown Hospital; she was the daughter of Michael Gordon and Connie (Umbdenstock) Croskey. In her grade school years Shelly spent time in Marshalltown and Tama/Toledo area. She moved to Colorado as a teenager to spend time with her dad. After a few years she returned to Tama and graduated from South Tama High School and eventually settled in Marshalltown. Shelly had worked as a CNA most of her working career and currently worked for CIRSI. She loved spending time with her dogs, eating out, a good drive around town, and always loved being around her family.Left to cherish her memory is her significant other, Matt Thompson of Marshalltown; her children: Makayle Parizek of Vining, Phillip Brownfield-Casey and Clarissa Brownfield-Casey, of Cedar Rapids; mother, Connie Warnell of Marshalltown; stepmother, Linda Croskey of Marshalltown; sister, Amy (Ryan) Casey of Cedar Rapids; niece and nephew Caleb and Harper of Cedar Rapids; her step siblings and their spouses, aunts and uncles, many cousins, her dogs, Vinny and Snickers and a host of friends.    In death, Shelly rejoins her father, Mike Croskey; stepfather, Larry Warnell and her grandparents, Pete and Winnie Croskey and Dean and Clarice Umbdenstock.
