A celebration of life for Aaron Randall will be held Saturday, October 1, at 10:30 a.m., at First Congregational Church in Marshalltown (312 West Main Street, Marshalltown, Iowa) where he was a member. A luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at the church immediately following the celebration of his life. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the MHS Music Department. Aaron and his family are being cared for by the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. For further information or to send a condolence please visit www.mitchellfh.com or call (641) 844-1234.Aaron Keith Randall was born in Marshalltown on August 14, 1988, to Douglas and Krystal (Lacina) Randall. He attended Marshalltown Schools graduating from MHS in 2007. During his school years he was active in marching band, concert band, jazz band, pep band and orchestra. He was a member of the tennis team for four years serving as co-captain his senior year. The summers of 2005 and 2006, he toured with Celebration Iowa. He was fondly called the truck monkey as he scrambled in the truck as instruments and stage equipment was loaded for the next entertainment stop. He played bass in the pit orchestra for several musicals at MHS and the Marshalltown Community Theatre. He participated in Bell Choir at First Congregational Church for several years. Following high school graduation, he attended UNI where he participated in marching band, jazz band, pep band and orchestra. Previously, he was employed by Pizza Hut, and currently as manager at Central Office Supply.Aaron is survived by his parents, Douglas and Krystal Randall, a brother, Tyler Randall and nephew, Charlie Randall; his maternal grandmother, Leta Lacina of Gladbrook; and paternal grandmother, Shirley Randall of Marshalltown. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a host of friends. Aaron was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gene Lacina and Dale Randall.
