Ace Gordon Kail

Ace Gordon Kail, 85, of Marshalltown, died Thursday, August 11, at his home surrounded by his loving family. According to his wishes, following cremation, no services are planned at this time. Ace was born March 27, 1926, in Beaman, Iowa, the son of Henry Kail and Cecil (Mothersill) Kail. He grew up in the Conrad and Beaman areas and graduated from the Garwin High School in 1944. He was married on October 12, 1947, to Elaine Shank at the Marshalltown Friends Church. They later moved to Torrance, California where he was employed for many years in the Air Craft Industry and spent his last 20 years at Hughes Air Craft. Ace is survived by his wife Elaine who loved him dearly, his two sons: Dan (Anita) Kail and Roger (Carol) Kail, six grandchildren: Christopher Kail, Angel Rodriguez, Allie Kail, Marissa Kail, Amanda Kail and Danielle Kail, his three great-grandchildren: Brookly Kail, Victor Rodriguez and Christopher Kail. Ace was preceded in death by his mother, father, three brothers and his four sisters.
