The Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Adam and his family. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born on August 28, 1990, in Marshalltown, he was the son of John and Denise (Billman) Levings. He graduated from the Marshalltown High Schools Class of 2009 and was currently working at TPI in Newton manufacturing wind turbines. While in high school, he was a member of the swim team, served four years on student council, participated in youth group and was a homecoming king candidate. After graduation, Adam attended Southwest Minnesota State University for one semester. He missed his friends so much he decided to come home and attend MCC for the second semester until putting his education on hold. Adam had also worked at Plaza 9 Theatres, Brown Shoe Fit, Fareway and the Tremont on Main. Adam will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor- always playing pranks on people. He so desired to make them happy and to laugh. He also had a softer side that was compassionate and drawn to peoples needs. At all times he put others needs before his- whether buying a homeless man nice socks or handing children money at the parade because he ran out of candy. He enjoyed making his own words up to songs, singing and watching his favorite movie, Superstar. Left to cherish his memory are his parents John and Denise, his sister Alli, grandfather H.R. Levings of Cottage Grove, MN, step-grandfather Valjean Goodman of Marshalltown, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him very much. He also is survived by Wilbur his bulldog. In death, Adam rejoined his grandparents Marcine Goodman, and Ronald and Delores Billman as well as Jake his yellow Lab and Tank his bulldog.
