Adeline Adella Britain Brown, 91, of Marshalltown, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Central Iowa Healthcare in Marshalltown. Funeral services for Adeline will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Visitation will take place before services from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Adeline Zieske was born on October 28, 1925 in Fredericksburg, Iowa to Richard and Ida Gitch Zieske. She received her education in the Fredericksburg schools during WWII. Adeline worked for Ott and Foreman in 1944 and later in Sumner, Iowa at Westcott and Winks. On May 14, 1950, Adeline was united in marriage to Keith Britain. The newlyweds moved to Marshalltown and Adeline went to work for Cashway Grocery and later was a stay at home mother. After Mr. Britain passed away in 1972, Adeline continued her education graduating in Nurses Aide Training and was employed for twenty years with Westwood Care Center. During this time, she met Lyle Brown and married on February 6, 1977. Lyle passed away in 2007. Adeline loved traveling all over the United States and in Europe. She liked to dance, listen to music, was a member of the quilting group at the church and going camping especially in Harlingen, Texas. She especially had a great love for her family and church. Adeline is survived by her children: Debra Randall of Marshalltown, Pam (Lee) Morris of Southlake, Texas and Jeff (Joni) Britain of McKinney, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew Randall, Josh (Kelsey) Britain, Thomas T.J. Morris and Jessica Britain and one great grandchild; Ellie Britain. Adeline is preceded in death by her spouses: Keith and Lyle; parents: Richard and Ida; siblings: Esther, Evelyn, Edna, Gertrude and Arle and her son-in-law Kevin Cary.
