Agnes Louise Conley OBrien, 73, passed away March 31, 2016 in Marshalltown, Iowa with family by her side. She had battled cancer for the last ten years. Agnes was born July 25, 1942 in Tyrone, Iowa to Owen and Margaret Hynd Conley, the youngest of 12 children. She graduated from Albia High School in 1960. On June 24, 1961 she married her loving husband, John J. OBrien. John and Agnes became parents of two daughters, Kimberly OBrien Wolett of Colfax, Iowa and Kelly Williams of Missoula, MT. They moved to Trinidad, Texas and then Georgetown, Iowa to raise their family. Agnes was first and most importantly, a devoted wife, a mother, and a grandmother. She loved spending time with family, visiting and laughing. She was talented in so many ways. She became a private pilot along with her husband, John, in 1969. She owned her own successful upholstery business while the girls attended grade school. She received her accounting degree from Indian Hills Community College in 1981. She continued to utilize her accounting degree throughout her professional career and retired from the Department of Human Services in 2007. Agness spare time included being an avid genealogist, publishing a family heritage book and researching family history. She always made sure that her latest research results were recorded and shared with her immediate family. She enjoyed restoring a 1946 Lincoln with John, and many other classic cars. She also created beautiful flower gardens and wrote eloquent letters to family and friends. After retirement, Agnes and John spent several years as snowbirds and traveled to Athens, Texas to enjoy friends and mild weather. They have truly touched many lives along the way. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Bob, John, James, William and sisters, Margaret and Mary. Agnes is survived by her husband of 54 years, John J.
