Ajdin "Denny" Arifi

Ajdin “Denny” Arifi, age 66, of Le Grand, Iowa, passed away in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family on August 19, 2025.

A visitation for Denny will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Denny’s name may be directed to the family for a later designation. Ajdin Arifi was born on January 17, 1959 in Kicevo, Macedonia (formerly Yugoslavia). He was the son of Shukri and Shukrije Arifi. Denny attended school at Medreseja në Prishtinë.

When Denny came to the United States, he moved to Chicago, Illinois. On October 25, 2003, he was united in marriage to his wife, Susan (Boeding). They moved to Le Grand, Iowa in 2006 where they made their forever home. Denny worked for many years as a Semi Truck Driver and in later years, he was working for the Marshalltown Community School District as a bus driver. In his free time, Denny loved spending time with his family as they were everything to him. He additionally enjoyed watching UFC and Arsenal Soccer.

Those left to remember and cherish his memory are his wife, Susan Arifi; his children, Beglije, Shukrije, Zemrije, Shukri, Juliana and Adrian; grandchildren, Endrit, Erion, Anid, Enuar, Korab and Unik. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Isen, Sadrije and Advije.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Shukri and Shukrije Arifi.
