Alan Perry

Alan D. Perry, 57, of Marshalltown, died Friday, July 4th, at the Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Ph 641-844-1234.Born Alan Dwaine Perry on March 27th, 1951, in Iowa City, he was the son of Melvin and Edith Perry. He graduated from the LeGrand High School in 1970 and served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1974 to 1976 and was stationed in Germany. Alan was employed in the construction field and drove truck for some time. Surviving are his mother, Edith Perry of Marshalltown, four brothers: Dennis (Carol Chris) of Tama, Kenneth (Eldora) of Marshalltown, Delwin (Kathie) of LeGrand and Ace (Barbara) of Marshalltown, several nieces and nephews and his longtime companion and friend, Donna Walters of Marshalltown. In death he has rejoined his father, Melvin who died in 2001 and his grandparents.
