Albert Schmidt

Albert Schmidt, 76, of the Iowa Veterans Home, formerly of Boone, Iowa, died early Friday morning, January 11th, at the IVH. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15th, at the Iowa Veterans Home Chapel. He will be laid to rest in the IVH Cemetery. Born on December 31st, 1931, in Harrisburg, Illinois, he was the son of Albert and Madonna (Lally) Schmidt. He received his education in the area of his birth, Michigan, Chicago and Iowa. He was employed at Walt Disney Studios in set construction and later owned and operated a clothing store. Left to cherish his memory are his son Richard A. of Chicago, a granddaughter, his sisters Rose (Ronald Red) Williams of Ogden, Iowa and Mavis (Millard) Buckingham of Iowa Falls, and several nieces and nephews and his IVH family. In death he has rejoined his parents.
