Alexander Koch

Alexander Koch tragically lost his life on June 10th, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 18th at 1:00p.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with a public visitation held on Friday June 17th from 5 7:00p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Alex was born on June 16th, 1986 to proud parents Tom and Mary Koch in Marshalltown, Iowa. Alex attended East Marshall school district where he made many close, lifelong friends and participated in many sports and extracurricular activities. After high school he attended Iowa State University graduating with a bachelors degree in Industrial Technology. During high school and college, Alex worked for HyVee in Marshalltown and Ames, making more friends. While working in HyVee Alex met his lovely fianc, Liz. The two of them began their life together by planning a September wedding later this year. After graduating from Iowa State University, Alex was employed by Katecho, Inc. where he was a production supervisor. Alex was an avid Cavaliers fan and would argue continuously with his brother, Ben, about who is the best NBA player. He was also an avid fan of board games beginning a tradition of game days with his fianc, brother, sister-in-law, and parents. Alex was the most genuine, loving, funny and kind young man one could ever meet. He was taken from us, but his memories will live on in each of us that call him a friend, brother, or son. Left to celebrate Alexs life are his fianc Elizabeth, his parents Tom and Mary, his brother Ben (Shari), and his grandfather Francis. In death Alex rejoins his grandparents.
