Alfredo Gorgonio Bustos

The kind and humble soul of Alfredo Gorgonio Bustos, 51, of Marshalltown, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. He had been under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Funeral Mass for Alfredo will take place on Saturday, October 2 at 9:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish – St. Mary Catholic Church. A visitation will be held Friday, October 1 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, followed by a vigil service at 7:00 P.M. Born January 24, 1970 in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, Mexico, he was the son of Juan Manuel Gorgonio Gonzales and Graciela Bustos Nuño. After meeting the love of his life, Juana Macias, they were united in marriage and enjoyed raising their family together. Alfredo was a man who really understood the meaning of life. He looked at the life he built with gratitude and saw its beauty. He never took the little things for granted: he appreciated every sunrise and sunset and was so proud of his daughters and their accomplishments. Not only was he a hard worker, but he truly loved his job in construction. Alfredo also loved fishing, eating shrimp tacos and more than anything else, his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Juana; his children: Evelyn, Viviana, Alexa, Kimberly and Kevin; his sisters: Xochitl and Gricelda and many other relatives and friends. In death, he is reunited with his parents and his brother, Juan Manuel.
