Alice Vogt, 83, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab Center. Following Alice’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no public services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Alice’s name to Iowa River Hospice Home. Alice Cora Tough, 83, was born to LeRoy and Shirley (Arnold) Tough in Jasper County on September 20, 1935. She graduated from Albion Consolidated School in 1955. She graduated from Thompsons School of Beauty in Des Moines, Iowa in 1956. Alice married Norman Wayne Vogt in September 1956. They moved to Downey, California in 1958. They had 2 children, Cameron Wayne and Leisa Marie and later divorced. In 2006, Alice moved back to Marshalltown. She lived here 5 years and then moved to Keokuk, Iowa. Due to her declining health, Alice lived at Grandview Care Facility. She enjoyed playing Kings in the Corner. She is survived by her son, Cameron and daughter Leisa (Wayne) Tomaszewski, 2 granddaughters and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Janice (Lyle) Springer, Rose Tough, Ruth Dawson, Ellen Hazen and Margaret Kroener and sister-in-law, Joan Tough. Alice was preceded in death by her father and mother and her ex-husband, Norman Vogt. Her sister Carolyn Williams, Barbara Specht and brothers, Robert and James Tough are all deceased, also 3 nephews.
