Allen Eugene Carmer, 39, of Marshalltown, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 10, 2021. A celebration of life for Allen will take place on Saturday, December 18 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Allen was born on December 4, 1982 in Grinnell, Iowa to parents Warren Eugene Carmer and Brenda Faye Cline. Hardworking and dedicated, Allen was assistant manager and worked as a technician at Jiffy Lube. Through his marriages to Desiree (Dobroska) Carmer, Krystal Reese and Tina Weber, he was blessed with his children and grandchildren, who were his whole world. When he wasn’t spending time with his family and many friends, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed MMA (mixed martial arts) and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Broncos fan. Allen was a supportive dad and well-liked by many. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Mistry Carmer (Roberto Sanchez), Damien Carmer, Charydin Carmer (Gavin Frye), Aiden Reese Carmer, Brendyn Weber Carmer, Ali Reese, Justine Reese and Hailie Davis; his grandchildren: Braxton, Skylar and Kingston; his parents: Warren and Norlene Carmer and Brenda and Dale Enns; siblings: Katie Castro, Carlita Witte, Nicole Snider, Kim Carmer, Joe Witte, Rachelle Burke and Connie Kibbe and his grandpa, Earl Carmer. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. Allen is preceded in death by his grandma, Dorothy Carmer; his uncle, Butch Carmer and his grandpa, Floyd Spidell. Allen’s family knows that he was not alone in this world and would like to acknowledge that there may be others out there struggling with mental illness.
