Allen Richardson

Allen Richardson 87, of Marshalltown died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the Iowa River Hospice House.Per his request there will be no services. For condolences please visit www.mitchellfh.com . (Shipp) Richardson in the Union, Whitten, Iowa area and also was educated in that area. He had served our country honorably in the United States Armed Forces from February 1944 to July 1945, after he was discharged he was employed by the railroad and then as a barber and then he worked for Capital Sanitary Supply out of Des Moines until his retirement. Allen had a passion for music and playing his guitar and enjoyed playing for others, he loved to fish and enjoyed fishing in Minnesota and also hunting mushrooms.Left to cherish his memory are his companion of 60 years, Mary Lou Banghart of Marshalltown and his nieces: Gwendolyn Barnett, and Kathrine Larson and nephew: Dale Reece.Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Iva Richardson and a niece, Shirley Schriver
