Alma Rogers, 85, of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Grandview Rehab and Health Care. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Alma Faye Bach was born on November 10, 1930, at home near Melbourne, Iowa; she was the daughter of Lester and Rosella (Meyer) Bach. Alma attended school in the Collins Community School District graduating with the class of 1948. After graduation she worked at Donnellys in the Shipping Department. On October 28, 1948, Alma was united in marriage to Russell Coleman at the church in Collins. Russell and Alma farmed in Zearing, Collins, and Marshalltown, until buying a farm near Laurel, Iowa. In 1961, Alma started working for S&H Green Stamps until 1980; she then went to work for Marshall County Emergency Management retiring in 1996. After Russells passing in 1979, Alma remarried Richard Rogers in June of 1985, and they enjoyed traveling and camping and visited 47 of the 50 states. She was a member of the VFW, First United Methodist Church, Antique Car Club and collected Lefton glass in which she had 17,000 pieces. She enjoyed reading, working with flowers, Suduko puzzles and loved and enjoyed her family as she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda (Calvin) Woosley of Beaman, Iowa, Janna Hill-Wilson of Marshalltown, Iowa, Rick (Robin) Coleman of Osage Beach, Missouri; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Max (Karen) Bach of Gilman, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. In death Alma rejoins her parents, Lester and Rosella; husbands, Russell and Richard; son, David, and her brother, Richard and son-in-law Robert Wilson. .
