Amy Canadé, 37, of Marshalltown, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa with her loving family by her side. A memorial gathering will start at 5:00 p.m. with a prayer service, sharing and when that has concludes there will be an open visitation on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Amy and her family. Amy Jean Canadé was born on March 22, 1980, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Sevcik) Rush. Amy attended school in the Marshalltown Community School District graduating with the class of 1998 and then attended Marshalltown Community College and received her associate degree. On June 5, 2013, Amy married the love of her life, Reuben Arthur Canadé in Oahu, Hawaii, and they loved and enjoyed every day they were able to be together. Reuben and Amy lived in Marshalltown where she had worked at Walgreens, Elim Lutheran Childcare and the last number of years, for Marshalltown Community School District at Fisher School in Food Service. Amy loved to take care of children, movies, walking with Reuben and their dog Buddy, journaling; she loved cooking, traveling, hiking, visiting with friends and playing Farkle. Left to cherish Amy’s memory is her loving husband, Reuben; parents, mother, Catherine Rush of Marshalltown, Iowa and father, Robert (Linda Perkins) Rush, of Marshalltown, Iowa; grandmother, Helen Sevcik of Tama, Iowa; brother, Aric (Tiffany) Rush and their children, Jonah, Maxwell, and Chloe, all of Ankeny, Iowa; father and mother-in-law Edward and Sara Canadé, of Marshalltown, Iowa; her Aunt Toni Canadé, of Port St Lucie, Florida; sister-in-laws Stephanie Canadé Tallman, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Sophie Canadé, of Chicago, IL and her special friends, Laura Stoltzman, Katie Lundberg and Angie Christensen, and many others. In death Amy rejoins her grandparents, Milo Sevcik, Bill and Donna Rush and her aunt, Christine Lumina.
