Andres Alejandro Favela-Lopez, 10, of Marshalltown, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation for Andres will be held from 9:00 a.m. 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, where his family will be present to greet friends. Andres had just completed 5th grade at Lenihan Middle School this past school year and was excited to be a big 6th grader this fall. Andres was all boy and loved to ride his bike, make people laugh, play football and soccer and just plain spend his days outside playing with his all of his friends. His favorite color was pink and he had collection of the Kool-Aid T-shirts which he was very proud to show all of his family and friends. Andres had a passion for listening to music and dancing. Three of Andres favorite songs were: Dont Take the Girl by Tim McGraw, Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean and Mirror Mirror by Bruno Mars. Andres especially liked to dance to the song Intentalo.Andres is survived by his mother Lori Perry-Pantoja of Marshalltown, his step-dad Javier Pantoja of Mexico, his siblings: Patrick (Ashley) Frink of Pleasant Hill, Cody (Tanya) Perry of Marshalltown, Traviss Snelling of Marshalltown, Javier (Sebastian) Pantoja of Marshalltown and Isabella Pantoja of Marshalltown, his aunts; Lisa Miller-Kolontar of Altoona, Kimi Perry-Banderas of Marshalltown and JoAnn Butler of Dubuque, his uncles; Michael (Jen) Miller of Ames, David Bachman of Missouri, Greg (Natalie) Nason of Des Moines, his cousins; TJ Kolontar, Tyler and Tasha Miller, Taiana and Avery Butler, Hector Perry, Maggie Barajas, Junior Banderas, Benny Banderas, Elizabeth Schmidt, Matthew and Andrea Nason, Connor Nason, David Felland, Drew, Tyler, Dillon and Kaylee Shives, his grandpartents; Robert and Betty Perry of Marshalltown and his step-grandparents Ma Del Carmen and Maximino Pantoja of Mexico. Andres was preceded in death by his great grandmother Bernadine Miller.
