Angela Marie (Chamberlin) Wanatee, 52, of Montour, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines surrounded by her family. Angie was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on April 17th, 1970, to Flossie Upah and Anthony (Tony) Chamberlin. Tony passed away when Angie was young, and she gained Bob Pippert as her life-long father, as well as her “bonus” siblings, Ryan and MaryAnne. Angie grew up in Tama and attended South Tama County Schools until the seventh grade. She then moved to Gladbrook, where she completed her schooling and graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1989. She went on to graduate college at the LaJames College of Cosmetology. Upon her completion, Angie enjoyed a career in cosmetology as she raised her daughters, Jorie Anna and Sydnie Faye Oaks. In 2009, Angie met the love of her life, Jules Wanatee, and the two were married on October 23rd of that same year. She gained four “bonus” children in this union; Brendan, Taylor, Trace, and Genesis Wanatee who she loved deeply as her own. During her marriage to Jules, she was a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, where she loved raising her fur-babies. Angie was a perfectionist in the kitchen, and she kept their home beautifully decorated and well taken care of. She enjoyed feeding home-cooked meals and baked goods to her loved ones, along with spending time with Jules; especially at their children’s various life events. Her husband, her family, and her fur-babies were her life, and she never asked for more. Angie had an infectious laugh, a heart of gold, and eyes that would light up any room. Her kindness and generosity touched the hearts of everyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. She gave the best life advice, heartfelt support, and anything anyone needed; and she never complained. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, daughter, sister, and as a best friend to many. Angie is survived by her soulmate and husband, Jules Wanatee of Montour, her daughters Jorie and Sydnie Oaks of Marshalltown, her “bonus” children, Brendan (Samantha) Wanatee of Montour, Taylor Wanatee of West Des Moines, Trace (Autumn) Wanatee of Camdenton, MO, and Genesis Wanatee of Marshalltown. She is also survived by her loving parents, Flossie and Bob Pippert of Gladbrook, brother Ryan (Lindsey) Pippert of Garwin, sister MaryAnne (Curt) Bergern of Cedar Falls, nephews Hayden and Carver Pippert, her aunts, uncles, and many cousins and dear friends. She also leaves behind her fur-babies Nasser, Enoch, Lonagon, Meisha, Jewel, and Trinity. Angie is preceded in death by Tony Chamberlin, her grandparents, cousin Erik Upah, and her fur-babies Onyx and Vitor.
