Anita Levis

Anita (Bruce) Levis, 50, of Marshalltown, joined her mother in heaven just 9 days after her passing. Anita passed away unexpectedly at her home on the afternoon of Monday, April 13th, with her son, Ryan, at her side. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18th, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 until service time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for her son Ryans education. Anita would want anyone attending to wear comfortable clothes- please do in her memory. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Anita Kester on August 21st, 1964, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Gilbert Gib and Kathleen (Edelen) Kester. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School in 1983. Anita was employed at the Iowa Veterans Home, Grandview Heights, Super-8 Motel and the Americ-Inn. On St. Patricks Day of 1995, she married the love of her life, Bruce Levis in Marshalltown. Anita loved her family, Harley motorcycles, fishing, shooting potato guns and events with family. Left to cherish her memory are Bruce, her loving husband of nearly 20 years, children- Ryan at home and Adam (Holly) Levis and children Deven, Ayden and Janessa of State Center, brother Tom (Kathryn) Wauters of Scottsdale, AZ, sister-in-law Nancy Wauters and her children Kim and Kevin Wauters of Cedar Rapids, father-in-law Max Levis of Marshalltown, sisters and brother-in-law- Donna (Jim) Orr of Marshalltown, Lea Levis in Arkansas and Sharon Levis of Tama, several nieces and nephews, dog Tango and friends. In death, she rejoined her parents, her brother Pat Wauters, mother-in-law, grandson Keegan Levis and dogs Beau, Butch, Tango and Buffy.
