Ann (Howard) Perry, 51, of Marshalltown, died Thursday, September 22, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, at the Marshalltown Church of Christ, 2205 South Center Street, with David Shearer officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Marshalltown Church of Christ.Memorials may be directed to the church in her memory. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234.Born Ann Elizabeth Brockelsby on November 26, 1959, in Grand Island, NE, she was the daughter of Norman and Frances (Reed) Brockelsby. She graduated from the Grand Island High School in 1978 and later attended two years of business school.On August 29, 2000, she was united in marriage to Howard Perry in Des Moines. They made their home in Marshalltown all of their married life where she worked side-by-side with her husband as the owners and operators of Evs Ice Cream. Previously, she was employed for ten years with the State of Iowa as a computer programmer. Ann was a member of the Marshalltown Church of Christ and enjoyed activities with the church, crocheting, computers, activities with her family and grandchildren and will be remembered for her meticulous demeanor and contagious laugh.Left to cherish her memory are Howard, her loving husband of 11 years, her children: Michael Perry (Samantha Wirtz) of Atkins, Iowa; Andrew Perry (Tiffany Welch) of Marshalltown and Kathryn Perry (significant other Ryan King) of Marshalltown, grandchildren: Ethan Wirtz and two more on the way, her mother Frances of Marshalltown, her step-sisters: Teresa (Loren) Sweley and Melinda (James) Crow all of North Platte, NE, her father and mother in-law Everett and Dorothy Perry of Marshalltown and brother-in-law Duane (Loretta) Perry in California and sister-in-law Joyce (Curt) Jung of Marshalltown. Also surviving are her two cats and three dogs, whichalways had a special place in her heart.Preceding her in death were her grandparents and her father, Norman on January 21, 2011.
