Anna Ash, 80, of Marshalltown, died Sunday, June 2nd, at the Hiawatha Care Center in Hiawatha, Iowa.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 10, 2013 at the Faith Open Bible Church in Marshalltown, 1402 East Anson Street. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Ph. 641-844-1234. Born Annie Marie Trusheim on May 17, 1933, in Hubbard, Iowa, she was the daughter of Jacob and Emma (Kruger) Trusheim. She attended school at the Sailors rural school and later the LeGrand Public Schools.Anna was employed for ten years at Davis Paints in Marshalltown and later in housekeeping and a nurses aide at the Marshalltown Hospital for 25 years. She retired in 2009 and had also done housekeeping for local homes.Anna was a woman of faith and was a member of the Faith Open Bible Church, formerly the Open Bible Church on Anson Street until it burned some years ago. She began her walk with Christ in the 1st United Brethren Church and later Grace Open Bible Church before her memberships to the others. She was a member of the Rock Valley Club and treasured her family and church friends.Left to cherish her memory are her children: Glenn (Lorraine) Ash, Evelyn (Bruce) Swyter, David (Tammy) Ash, Sarah (Colby) Angell and Kenneth (Jodi) Ash, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and brothers Rudolf, Harold, Raymond and Wilbert Trusheim as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.In death, Anna rejoined her parents, her brothers Henry and Paul and sister Helen.
