Anna M. Frundle

Anna M. Frundle, 98, of Montour, died late Tuesday, September 30th, at the Carrington of Toledo where she has resided since April. Her death came just four days prior to her 99th Birthday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4th, at the Stavanger Friends Church with Pastor Jim Bonzer officatiing. She will be laid to rest in the Stavanger Friends Cemetery. Born on October 4th, 1909, at her family farm near Montour, she was the daughter of Jesse and Sarah (Roseland) Tow. She graduated from the LeGrand High Schools Class of 1927. On December 31, 1928, she was united in marriage to Merle Frundle in Marshalltown. The couple farmed east of LeGrand for a couple of years before moving to their farm near Montour. Mrs. Frundle was a member of the Stavanger Friends Church, the neighborhood Happy Hour Club and a former member of the Eastern Star Lodge in LeGrand. She will fondly be remembered for her love of family, traveling with Merle, cooking, her love of the church and was a great hostess and enjoyed entertaining. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard (Mary) of Montour, five grandchildren: Robert Frundle of Montour, Ann Marie (Brian) Nobes of Nashville, TN, Kathy Frundle of West Des Moines, Linda (Billy) Archer of Panama City Beach, FL., and Mary Beth Frundle of Tulsa, OK., 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. In death she has rejoined her husband Merle (1994), daughter Sharon McKinney (1989), three brothers and one sister as well as her parents.
