Anna Lee Kivett

Anna Lee Kivett, 93, of Le Grand, passed away at the Unity Point Health – Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines on Monday, March 29, 2022. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2nd at the Le Grand Friends Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for donation to Le Grand Friends Church or Pioneer Heritage Library in Le Grand. Ann was born on March 29, 1929, in Washburn, Missouri; daughter of Frank and Florence Diem. After high school, she went to Springfield, MO, to college where she met her husband, Leroy. They moved to Kansas, and then to Le Grand, where Ann spent her career teaching elementary students and raising three children. Ann and Leroy were very active in the school and the LeGrand Friends Church. Ann is survived by her three children: son Mike (Patty) of Gretna, Nebraska and their children, Matt (Sarah), John and Kayla Kivett; daughter, Lee Ann (Wade) of Naples, Florida and her son, Jared (Amy), two great grandchildren Graham and Remi; son Mark (Emily) of Des Moines and his children, Baylee (Seth), Gracee and Brody Kivett. By marriage, Ann was blessed with more family: granddaughter, Alison and her husband Taylor, great granddaughters Norah, Harper, and Finley; grandson, Nathan (Rei).
