Anna Welton

Angels wings were awarded to Anna Welton, 63, of Marshalltown, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at her home on the morning of Monday, June 22nd. Funeral services for Anna will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Bobby Shomo officiating. With respect to Annas memory the family invites you to wear casual attire. Public visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home, where her family will be present to greet friends. Born on March 5th, 1952, in Marshalltown, she was the daughter of Carl Ralph and Phylis (Stowell) Loffgren. She graduated from the Marshalltown High School and later Marshalltown Community College with her LPN Degree. Anna passionately served our community as an LPN for many years, but most recently for Center Associates for 11 years. On April 14th, 1989, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dean Welton, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Anna enjoyed many things in life including camping, racing, and feeding the critters but above all cherished her family. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kellie (Phil) De Ruiter of Marshalltown, Kendra (Dave) Lunney of Madison, WI, Kim Woosley (Scott Gianetto) of Albion, Jennifer (Cory) Johnson of Northfield, MN, Jessica (Tim) Youngman of Tama and her fur baby, Mollie, her dear grandchildren- Robbi, Skoky, KP, Blake, Chelsey, Lexie, Autumn, Ryne, Nicholas, Austen, Ann Marie, Alex and Jack, great- grandchildren: Aliya, Amiya, Kaiden, Isaiah and Casen, her mother Phylis Loffgren of Oddfellows in Marshalltown, one brother Doug (Cheryl) Loffgren of Albion, and two sisters, Karen (Ed) Mills of Marshalltown, IA, and Pam (Gene) Fuller of Montezuma, IA. We are sure Anna rejoiced in reuniting with her beloved Dean who died one year and one week before her, her father Carl Ralph Loffgren.
